Conference Memories - May 2006
WOW !!!! What a great weekend it was. April 21 - 24 was a wonderful success and we are delighted to report that 68 full time delegates made the trek to Noosa for 3 days of high energy learning, fun and friendship. The Energy Health & Living team created a beautiful event and turned on the BEST weather to boot ! We had people from as far afield as Singapore and Jakarta - as well as practitioners from New Zealand and of course all over Australia.
The first ever integrated Conference, saw people using 10 different Energy Medicine devices represented, with 11 speakers from around the country and overseas giving a great cross-section of information. No one had time to be bored or asleep !
Delegates were treated to a somewhat quirky and unique opening presentation that focused on a theme of 'extinction' , which is what we want to prevent happening to Energy Medicine practitioners ! The tiger handler from The Australian Zoo, who were major sponsors of the event, gave a fascinating presentation into the challenges facing humanity, to preserve the great cats of the world, and it was a humbling insight into the work that is being done.
Dr Gus Kaubish from the US, was back again, to the delight of many, and judging from the feedback forms, the new delegates also enjoyed his varied presentations over the three days on testing for vaccines, viral loads, degenerative diseases and the healing state of the mind. Gus is a wealth of information and a quiet measured voice of sanity, in a sometimes seemingly insane world.
Dr Don Bartram from Adelaide, who now works with the QXCI & Scio http://www.qxciscioaustralia.com/ covered topics on dental issues, cancer and viruses, and brought his unique knowledge base to the group, while an animated Dr Dean Stubbs, from the Gold Coast, had the room galvanised with his presentation on the Electroregensis machine, and his enthusiasm for natural healing and energy medicine was quite contagious ! Hot off the plane from Denmark, Dirk Buiskool, gallantly battled technical glitches with computers, and gave a great intro to the Merid device, http://www.gnm.nl/en/project_merid.htm ably assisted by his business partner Jan Roberts, and Jonathan Banks from Sydney was kept busy the entire Conference, demonstrating his light glasses, utilised for brain wave balancing. Very useful for children with behavioural disorders, as well as many other applications for adults. You could always find Jonathan by the long line of people patiently waiting ! His recently published book "A New Reality" is also a worthwhile, though meaty read. We will list it in the Resource section soon. http://www.adhd-add.com.au/
Shazar Robinson from Best Health, Perth, www.besthealth.com.au presented a paper on the' wholeness of health and keeping a broad perspective' which was well received, and Pauline Rose, of Ecological Medicine, from Sydney did a great talk on 'thermal Imageing for gauging breast changes in women'. It was wonderful after all these years to see Shazar & Pauline up there on the podium !
Wayne Pickstone from Harvey Bay, who talked about team building and practice management, leads a highly sucessful group that turned over just under $1M last year, and he is a Coach & Consultant to Wellness industry professionals. VEGA http://www.ifmed.com.au/ were very well represented by their trainer, Natasha Radcliffe from Adelaide, and her extensive knowledge base became evident as she talked about the fundamental principles of Bioenergetic Therapy, and Amy Corcoran, a yoga teacher from Noosa, wove her magic and left everyone feeling refreshed and recharged.
And we can't forget to mention how the delicious lunch each day was complimented by everyone being well prepared with their plant fungal based enzymes, compliments of Robert McIlroy, from Lifestyle Enzymes, who gave an extremely informative and in-depth presentation on the benefits of these digestive aids! It's great to see how Robert's product range has expanded, and thanks to his perseverence, are now TGA listed. He can be contacted on maczimes@austarnet.com.au and will have a new website in place shortly.
All in all, the 3 days were jamm packed and the generosity of so many contributing companies made the delegate packs extremely full of goodies, not to mention Averyll's numerous "Oprah" moments !
The Gala Dinner - always a highlight for previous Energy Medicine conferences, was at at a superb venue, a floating restaurant on the Noosa river, with great food, endless wine and toe tapping music, which soon had everyone up dancing. There was time for networking, sharing old times and making new friends. It was a wonderful night and our visitors from Jakarta and Singapore certainly looked like they enjoyed themselves!
This conference would not have happened, but for the hard work and dedication of Averyll & Paul Fitzgerald and their superb team, and they plan a bigger and better conference next year. Patricia Reed and Sean Tume also supported the team, as part of the Association sponsorship, and Sean's knowledge of IT saved the day on more than one occasion!
We highly recommend you BOOK EARLY early for this great event, next year, as seats will go like hot cakes, and the only way an event of this calibre can be improved upon, is to have a firm indication of numbers WELL ahead of time.
Plans are already underway, and it is intended to once again have an excellent line up of speakers, and a bigger and better venue which will allow trade displays and time for demos and practical hands-on sessions. We highly recommend that you take time out to be there, and support those who are working tirelessly for our industry. BOOK EARLY !
